That´s wierd and also scary, I think it maybe could be hard to accept what does happen after you se it on your own dream. I´ve never have a Deja Vu on that way, only once I dream this guy I met at school. At the other day I enter my new Highschool and I met the same guy !

I dont know how much help this will be but DEJAVU is normaly accepted as the soul remembering a flicker of its LIFES-PATH , there are some beliefs that the major events that happen in our lives are already agreed by us before incarnation , but how we get to those events are totaly in our hands , its supposed to help us learn life lessons that our souls need , then again there will be people who argue that its nothing more than a chemical imbalance in our brains , heh , take your pick!...From the limited info i know about DREAM-INTERPRETATION when you see someone you know die in a dream its a portent of them about to leave the physical plane , but too see yourself die in a dream does not mean physical death , but the end of a fase of your life and the beginning of something new , a bit like THE DEATH CARD in TAROT!...I hopes that this helps and stops you from too much worry , i am sorry to hear of your loss...Take Care!

UPDATE-Also to dream of someone you know dying it could also mean that the friendship that you have with that person is over...Dreams are notouriously very hard to interpret , although the human race do share some common symbols : JUNG CALLED THEM ARCHYTYPES : that can be interpreted quite accuratly , most of us have very personal symbols that can mean totaly differant things to differant people...An example is say if one person sees an eagle in their dreams they may take that to symbolise to them that they are protected from a worring issue , while another will see it as you are about to recieve an important message from the spirit realms , it all depends on the culture you are brought up in...See how difficult it is?...This is why most dream books in my opinion do not help very much!...Also another view on DEJAVU is that our minds-souls travel in our sleep and as they are not bound by SPACE-TIME constraints can travel into the future , so when your physical body catches up with the said time-frame you not only feel but sometimes you know EXACTLY what is about to happen next...This by the way is the way i except DEJAVU , but what do i know , heh...!
